Oklahoma National Guard Foundation
NGAOK is proud to announce that we have created The Oklahoma National Guard Foundation (OKNGF) a 501(c)3.
OKNGF and NGAOK operate as two independent, not-for-profit corporations, however we share common board officers, an Executive Director, and operates as a fully integrated organization in support of the Oklahoma National Guard and its mission.
Jointly, our goal is to support funding of events, member professional development, educational scholarships, and activities in support of military service members in the State of Oklahoma.
The Foundation has established six initial goals with more to follow as we grow; those goals are:
-
- Award up to ten, $500 or $1,000 Educational Scholarships.
- Host the Annual Holiday Dinner with gifts for the families of our 20 Fallen Guardsmen and additional Guard member’s families.
- Host ten Junior enlisted (E1-E4) and their spouse with tickets and 2 night’s accommodations at the Annual Leadership Conference and Military Ball.
- Provide ‘Back to School’ backpacks to ten local students, to include: School supplies, clothes, and a $100 gift card.
- Annually, Sponsor two Junior Grade Officer of the Year (Army/Air) to attend NGAUS PD Training
- Annually, Sponsor two Airmen/Soldier of the Year to attend EANGUS PD Training
The unveiling of processes and procedures will take place at our 65th Annual Military Ball at the Embassy Suites, Norman, April 18-20, 2024.
In the meantime, if you have questions regarding this great new venture, feel free to reach out to our Executive Director, Johnny Danrich III at ngaok@coxinet.net.
